Property Law
Property law is a fundamental area within asset law. Most aspects of asset law stem from the principles of obligations law and property law. Property law concerns the legal relationships of things in a broad sense. Ownership rights fall under this area and are a field in which we have significant expertise. Leasehold and rental rights are total usage rights, with which we provide extensive assistance. We also assist with partial usage rights, such as reindeer grazing rights and fishing rights.
Secured transactions are a highly practical and necessary part of property law. We have worked with secured transactions and, as decision-makers in boards, have used and dealt with collateral. We are proficient in secured transactions and have also been successful in challenging security interests. Our experience shows that such matters rarely end up in court.
We handle cases related to patent, trademark, and copyright law. Disputes in these areas often end up in the Patent Appeals Board or the courts.
